Biography:I obtained my Bachelor degree in Tourism Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2013, during my undergraduate studies I was able to work with TANAPA (Tanzania National Parks) in the department of Customer Care and Campsite reservations and Chilunga cultural tourism programe in Morogoro in the Information sector as field practical trainings. In October 2014 I again joined Sokoine University of Agriculture for my Master studies in Business Administration (Agribusiness) where I expect to complete in November, 2016. My aim is to address how agricultural activities and products can highly contribute to tourism development especially domestic tourism being as a source of foods and beverages to the hotels, source traditional foods in cultural tourism and also source of homestays making the coming tourists participate in agricultural activities as a part of tourism.
In March 2015, my career got more developed by being employed at Sokoine University of Agriculture as a Tutorial assistant in the Department of Wildlife Management to do consultancies, research and teach courses related tourism, environment and development, tour guiding and resort and leisure management.

Research interest:I have research interests in community-based tourism/ecotourism, the kind of tourism that intends to highly involve the local communities’ participation in tourism development. My aim is to ensure sustainable tourism in Tanzania and this can highly be successful if the local communities are aware of the importance of tourism attractions and resources around them and hence preserve them for the future generation. During my undergraduate studies, I was able to address it by assessing the level of local communities’ participation in tourism development focusing on the local communities in Morogoro Municipal, where the results showed that local communities are still not highly participating in tourism development. Currently I am addressing the same in my master studies by assessing how small scale agriculture can develop cultural tourism being as a source of homestays, source of traditional foods to the tourists, my aim is to make the local communities who are mostly small scale farmers participate in tourism development. This is being done in Morogoro using the local farmers living in villages around Uluguru Mountains as a case study.
